What are the main differences you have noticed between the generations - say millennials and those closer to retirement - in respect to parties and corporate events? 

Millennials want to be different and this theme carries through to their event needs. Millennials want to experience unique events, many of which may be extremely individual or even quirky. The focus is on creating a truly memorable event that will create a lasting experience which can be shared with friends or posted on social media. This can be expressed through the experimental use of technology, food or any other factors in order to create something special. On the contrary, more senior generations tend to request more traditional events that prioritise service quality and creating a more tranquil environment that encourages conversation and more social interaction.

How does Sapphire Private put together Christmas parties (and corporate events in general) to appeal to generations X, Y and Z?

Whilst event needs for different generations tend to vary, one thing remains consistent, all generations look for an events company that can plan and deliver truly memorable events. How important is it to consider all generations at a corporate event and is it possible some planners over think it? 

This is a must and in Sapphire Private’s experience many event companies tend to not give this enough consideration. Planning events are complex and it is essential for event companies to understand the age ranges of those attending the event. This may vary substantially within an event and may justify offering tailored experiences to different groups within the same event. This meticulous attention to detail and focus on the needs of all attendees within an event is what enables Sapphire Private to deliver events to an exceptional standard and differentiate itself from its competitors.
